Agile India 2012 Conference Bag

  • Bala

It was great that a conference of this size happened in
India, logistically it was nicely done!

But am very disappointed with the quality of speakers,
presentation content, and even alignment of some of the topics to the Theme of
the conference ( Agile & Lean). It was painful to sit through some of the
sessions and more painful was the fact that even though so many parallel tracks
were going on there weren’t suitable alternate sessions to go to! I bumped into
so many people who were just loitering on the hallway as they did not find
anything interesting to attend to! I’m baffled on some of the topics that were
chosen – it was complete misfit! And some speakers had no idea how to present
and this was an international conference! And choice of rooms were also not
handled properly, some good presenters/topics were given smaller room which
could not accommodate all the delegates while on the other hand some irrelevant
topics got bigger room where hardly anyone attended the session.

Keynote was a flop! For a three day conference, we had only
two keynotes. One keynote was a very touchy subject but completely not
appropriate for this forum!! The other keynote was a gyan session, bookish
extracts of Agile!! It is surprising that you could not find any great speaker
for keynote for a conference of this magnitude!

Overall, I was disappointed, not worth the money or time.
